That’s exactly the story of Lincoln, a Golden Retriever from Tennessee, whose forlorn look has melted hearts across the internet!
Is Mom Here Yet?
For Lincoln, the day started just like any other.
He arrived at the Pleasant View Pet Spa & Country Boarding Retreat in Tennessee, had a joyful time with his furry mates, and like always, waited for his mom, Meghan, to fetch him.
The facility is open until 6 PM, and Meghan typically arrives by 5:15, but things took a turn. She received a call that held her up about 30 minutes longer than usual, leaving Lincoln feeling as downcast as a pup can get.
A TikTok video from the daycare shows Lincoln outside with Holly, his handler, and his adorable blue mood soon caught the eye of many online.
In the clip, he visibly droops his head in sadness, and Holly gives him a comforting hug.
“When all your friends leave daycare,” says the video.
Confused, he wondered why Meghan was late and why suddenly he was all alone.
A commenter humorously said, “Looks directly at camera: ‘Mom, are you seeing this? I’m feeling seriously left out,’ 🤣”
Finally, about 15 minutes before closing, Meghan showed up, and Lincoln’s joy returned. After learning of his little heartbreak, the family decided to shower Lincoln with tasty treats and a pup cup to mend his dejected canine spirit!
Of course, Lincoln forgave them without a second thought!
Lincoln’s Third Year with His Loving Family
As 2024 wraps up, Lincoln celebrates his third year in Meghan’s home. He came as an itsy-bitsy pup and quickly became family royalty.
Initially, he lived alongside Meghan’s older dog, Oliver. Those times were golden, and with Oliver’s guidance, Lincoln turned into a well-mannered pup.
These days, he’s delighted to spend time with his mom, and it’s clear that Lincoln is quite the socialite!
He enjoys doggie daycare on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while relishing family time on the other days.
Lincoln, an avid explorer, often visits exciting places like city squares, nature retreats, lakesides, and water parks.
He has a special love for diving into pools or pretty much any spot with water—he’s a true Golden Retriever through and through!
However, the best part of Lincoln’s day is being with his family. His loyalty and warmth shine, affirming that for him, home really is where the heart is!
