This pup finally found a forever home after being abandoned multiple times

Many people are unaware of how common dog abandonment is. Even more concerning is the unseen impact it has on these loyal animals.

Dogs typically long for a stable, consistent environment, and bouncing from owner to owner can be incredibly difficult for them.

Despite the complexities of life, this problem is not likely to be resolved quickly.

Take Lola, for instance. She’s a pup who found herself in multiple homes, yet she maintained her sweet demeanor, yearning for a family. Then, her life took a turn for the better when she encountered a remarkable individual.

Lola’s Journey

After being moved from one home to another, Lola eventually found herself on the streets of Washington, lacking anyone to care for her. While someone did contact a shelter to assist her, it wasn’t enough.

Thankfully, Courtney came across her photo and felt compelled to meet her at the shelter.

Upon meeting Lola, Courtney was impressed by the dog’s cheerful and warm nature —almost as if Lola sensed her longing for adoption.

Courtney recalled to GeoBeats Animals: “She walked into the house like she owned the place. She climbed up on the couch and hasn’t really left it since.

Now, it seems quite clear that Lola has found her happiness in her new living situation in Washington. She enjoys lounging around.

But when mealtime arrives, Lola springs into action, eager to eat.

In the beginning, Lola showed more affection towards Courtney’s partner. While their bond grew over time, her preference was still evident.

Courtney shared: “I’m unsure of her past, but she was spayed, microchipped, and even had some training. Yet, like any dog, she has her quirks.

Lola’s Contentment

One challenge with Lola is her dislike for cars, necessitating that her owner holds onto her leash to prevent her from chasing them.

Lola has a tendency to bark at vehicles. Courtney describes her as part Pitbull, part therapist, and a touch of drama queen.

Noticing Lola’s weight gain, her family decided to start her on a diet to bring her to a healthier size.

Courtney joked: “She’s eager to go for walks, but once she’s half a mile in, she’s done. It’s like you’re trying to drag a boulder with a rope.

Courtney has a soft spot for Pitbulls. She feels they don’t always receive the recognition they deserve.

During her time in veterinary medicine, Pitbulls were frequently her favorites, as they possess unique qualities.

Concluding her thoughts, Courtney expressed: “Lola acts like we exist solely to attend to her needs. Like, what else would we be doing if not taking care of Lola? It’s like she’s Beyonce, but it’s just Lola.

It’s heartwarming to know that this loving dog finally has a happy ending and a home where she’s cherished and will never face abandonment again.
