Abandoned to Survive Alone

Once the rescuers got to her, they securely transported her to safety. But the heartbreak continued!
The initial veterinary examination uncovered multiple health issues. Her enlarged belly wasn’t due to pregnancy. Instead, it was caused by advanced heartworm infestation and liver cirrhosis.
The dog required urgent and extensive medical care to survive.
Amazingly, this brave dog never lost hope throughout her treatment. Named Sarah, she ate without fuss and seemed to move around lightly despite her conditions.
With timely fluid drainage and heartworm medications, her condition began to improve. After just five rounds of fluid removal, she looked significantly slimmer.
