Everyone’s got something that makes them jumpy. For some, it’s standing at a high place, while others might feel uneasy around dogs.
But one of the most common fears is being in the dark. This usually worries us because we think something or someone might sneak up when we can’t see a thing.
Even though it can be frightening, there are times when it turns into such an odd scenario that it becomes a humorous tale worth sharing.
Angel of the Night
Once upon a time, as night settled in, a woman was preparing for a peaceful rest. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary; it was just a regular night as far as she was concerned.
In the middle of the night, she awoke and, being cautious not to disturb anyone, quietly made her way to the bathroom. All she could think about was sinking back into her cozy bed and drifting back into dreamland.
But when she turned back to her bedroom, she nearly let out a scream. Two glowing eyes were fixed on her from the top of her bed, like something straight from a horror flick.
Quickly regaining her nerves, she took a closer inspection of this mysterious fright. Upon examining it more intently, she realized there was nothing to fear.
It turned out the spooky eyes belonged to her adorable pup, Harami, who was simply keeping an eye on her mom. This little Chihuahua and Shih Tzu mix had just happened to be in that peculiar spot at that late hour.
“At the time, my phone was on my pillow,” Harami’s mom explained to The Dodo. “While I was in the bathroom, she climbed up on my pillow, causing the phone to light up.”
In mere moments, the story transitioned from horror to humor, and it was also a bit heartwarming, reflecting the deep bond between Harami and her mom.
World’s Most Adorable
Even though Harami gave her mom quite the scare, there were no hard feelings. Clearly, the little one didn’t have any mischievous intentions, and in the end, she even made her mom chuckle.
“I found it so adorable that I couldn’t help but laugh,” her mom said. “Harami adores me and her tail goes wild when I laugh. She’s truly cherished.”
And even if Harami did mean to play this prank, who could stay mad at such a lovable demeanor? Absolutely no one, especially not her mom.
“To me, she’s my precious child,” Harami’s mom shared. “Harami always snuggles up in bed with Mom and Dad.”
Going forward, mom’s fear of the dark might just be gone. Any face she sees in the dark is bound to belong to her furry little guardian angel.
