When people set out to adopt a puppy, one or two furry friends usually brighten their homes. But occasionally, fate has a bigger plan in store.
There are times when an adopted dog surprises its new owner by being pregnant.
Such was the crazy turn of events for a woman who discovered her newly adopted dog was expecting.
An Unexpected Find on Craigslist
While browsing Craigslist, Faith encountered a captivating ad.
It featured a Chihuahua described as an “Adorable female Chihuahua puppy.”
Something about it seemed off to Faith, who questioned why the previous owner had given up the pup.
Despite her reservations, Faith took a chance and welcomed the little dog into her Oregon home.
That’s when she got the shock of her life. Her new Chihuahua, whom she named Stacey, was actually expecting puppies.
Faith was thrilled to assist her new fur friend as she prepared to bring new puppies into the world.
The Family Grows
Initially, she believed Stacey was only carrying two pups, but she was about to receive a pleasant surprise.
Stacey eventually delivered five lively puppies – four boys and one girl. Faith supported her through each moment of the exciting journey.
The first few weeks proved challenging, yet Faith tirelessly looked after the canine family. She waited until the pups were ready to find loving homes.
When the time came, she found wonderful people who could provide a great life for each puppy.
Faith kept one puppy, affectionately naming it Coco. The other four pups found homes with her friends in Oregon. Here’s the best part—the siblings still get to see each other during playdates.
What began as a leap of faith turned out wonderfully for Faith, Stacey, and the adorable puppies. They’re living happily ever after.
